With more daylight hours to explore the water, boating season is just about there. Double-check your wakesurf boat checklist to ensure you’ve got everything you need before you head out. Once you’ve prepped your boat, it’ll be smooth sailing.

Paperwork

Before you head out on the water, make sure you’ve got your paperwork together. Display your current registration decals on the boat hull so it’s easy to locate. Then, make sure you have your updated boat registration and insurance handy.

Tools and Safety Equipment

Once you’ve got your paperwork, pack your tools and safety equipment. This includes your first aid kit, fire extinguisher, adjustable wrench, duct tape, tow rope, bungee cord, and flashlight. Make sure you also have boat bumpers, an anchor line, and an anchor. Of course, always confirm with your owner's manual for additional key tools and equipment.

Gear

Get your gear together so you can enjoy the water and feel prepared for any situation. Stock up on extra life vests and get your goggles ready. Remember to bring your wakesurf board and wakesurf rope to catch some waves!

Other Necessities

Break out your best pair of shades, and don’t forget the sunscreen! Grab a cooler, bring some sandwiches, chips, and water to stay fueled. Store your paper products in a plastic bag to keep them from getting wet. Pack baby wipes to clean the boat. Plus, bring a camera (waterproof, if you can!) and a music player for the day.

To keep your trip safe and fun, head out during daylight hours. Head back to the dock if it’s raining or when the sun starts setting.
